- Large cylinder delivers more velocity and terminal penetration

- Functions perfectly in cold weather
- Lasts longer than a metal spring
The Gamo Magnum air rifle shoots pellets at a stunning 1650 feet per second (with .177 caliber PBA Platinum ammo). If you're looking for speed, this is the air rifle for you!
Endowed with features that make it comfortable to shoot and suited for hunting, this magnum-powered air rifle is lightning fast, and its equipped with a 3-9x40 scope that has an adjustable objective for even more versatility in the field.
The IGT Mach 1 powerplant delivers higher downrange energy and the ultimate in impact and penetration making this gun ideal for small game such as rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and crows. The IGT Mach 1 delivers faster velocity, more power and even better precision by using a gas cylinder versus a conventional spring. And the IGT Mach 1 offers smoother cocking and shooting, no spring torque, no spring fatigue, no issues shooting in cold weather, and a much longer life than a spring powered gun. The IGT Mach 1 allows you to cock the gun and wait before taking your next shot without worrying about any weakening of the metal spring. You'll also notice a lot less twang and vibration.
The synthetic thumbhole stock has a comfortable, ambidextrous cheekpiece, making it ideal for right- or left-handed shooters, and for added comfort, the Gamo Magnum has rubber inserts on the grip, forearm and cheekpiece. The buttpad incorporates the Shock Wave Absorber (SWA) for more recoil reduction. And while the Mach 1 gas piston seriously reduces vibration, the SWA recoil pad stops you from feeling most of the recoil from the remaining movement of the gun.
The air rifle features the smooth and predictable Custom Action Trigger (CAT) that allows you to tailor the trigger to your own personal preference. And, only Gamo offers the Recoil Reducing Rail (RRR). Designed to subdue the stress on your scope, the RRR absorbs shockwaves and reduces the stress on the internal components of your scope by almost 100%.

Hmm…..Not sure. I found this….
It appears that the pressure from the gas ram is on that pin…So BE CAREFUL !
I'm not sure how to compress it.

Nicely done. Be careful not to let the setup slip under pressure.

seems like gamo makes it impossible so that you'll have to send it back to them…….i dont even thing they sell parts for breakbarrels. i know that torx or star key that is where the barrel pivots has broken more than on of my torx wrenches. sheared right off. – superglue in there on those pivot screw threads. that second release button reminded me of that special tool for the endplug of the gamo hunter extreme magnums……

With the wood piece and 2 bolts did you just slide them past the trigger to push on gas ram?I thought just using a spring compressor on trigger would work but it seems trigger housing binds the pin with little holes in it.

Not relative to this particular gun but in the past I needed something similar and used a piece of steel pipe small enough to fit inside the receiver. Then I cut sections out of the pipe where space was needed to slide past the pins and trigger group, leaving 'fingers' that could compress the internals and allow pin removal. I think it was for a Diana 460 but not certain as it's been a long time ago. Might be something to try in this case if needed.

The 2 pin tool, sure it has a name, that you use to unscrew the Hunter extreme/1250 could also a pain if you can’t find something to use.
This 2 screw idea is actually quite good. I’d sand and file the sharp and jagged edges so it’s totally smooth. Mike Ellingsworth made a neat little tool for his on YouTube. I’d like to know why a company would make it so hard to work on their guns. Are they really experiencing law suites from people who hurt themselves doing stuff the company advises against?
